Passover Information Center 5785

Congregation Mekor Shalom wishes everyone a happy and kosher Passover holiday (a hag kasher v'sameah).

The information below is here to help everyone prepare for and celebrate the holiday.

In preparation:

  • The Rabbinical Assembly's Pesah Guide 5785 is available here.
  • To authorize Hazzan Sered-Lever to sell your hametz, please click here.
  • The Fast of the Firstborn falls on Thursday, April 10.  To eliminate the need to fast, it is customary to attend a pre-Pesah siyyum (study session to conclude the learning of a text) on that day.  The festive meal eaten after a siyyum precludes the need to fast.
