Does Mekor Shalom have a religious school? A: Yes!  Mekor Shalom has a religious school that meets on Sundays and Wednesdays.

  • On Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m., Kindergarten through 7th grade meets.
  • Once a month on Sundays from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Teen Talk for 8th through 12th graders.  
  • On Wednesdays from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m., 3rd – 7th grades meets.

Does Mekor Shalom have a youth group?  A: Yes!  Mekor Shalom has a youth group for 6th-12th grade students called MSY for Mekor Shalom Youth.

Is Mekor Shalom an egalitarian congregation?  A: Yes.  Men and women are counted in a minyan and participate equally in the shul’s ritual life.

Will Mekor Shalom affiliate with an established movement?  A:  In practice, Mekor Shalom is a Conservative congregation.  At a later date, Mekor Shalom may seek to affiliate with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, the umbrella organization of Conservative congregations.
